Ruby 3.4.12 が公開された。GitLab の CVE-2026-89078、CVE-2026-93577、CVE-2026-97229、CVE-2026-110264 が悪用する正規表現コンパイルの不具合を修正したのが主な変更である。ほかにも複数のバグを修正した。

窓の杜 · 2026-10-23 「Ruby」の正規表現エンジン「Onigmo」にリモートコード実行の問題、セキュリティ更新を実施／v4.0.9、v3.4.12、v3.3.13が公開。「GitLab」で発見されるスクリプト言語「Ruby」の開発チームは10月23日（協定世界時）、「Ruby」のセキュリティアップデートを実施した。「Ruby」で用いられている正規表現エンジン「Onigmo」に、複数の問題があったという。
